- 4th International Conference Business Meets Technology 2022Hedderich, Barbara; Walter, Michael; Stadler, Sebastian; Didion, Eva; Perelló Marín, Rosario; Catalá Pérez, DanielThe first installment of the International Conference on Business meets Technology took place in 2018. This year, 2022, we are proud to call the conference a joint scientific event since we teamed up with our colleagues from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) to host the fourth edition of the conference in Ansbach. This not only means that jobs and ToDos are shared among more shoulders. It shows that the cooperation of two universities results in more than just the sum of their individual strengths. Since last year, the conference is hosted by both universities in annual rotation - in 2023, the colleagues from Valencia will welcome us at the UPV for the second time. In addition, the contributions to both venues will now be published in conference proceedings, which are available Open Access on the internet platform of the UPV, making the research freely accessible to anyone, from anywhere, at any time.As expected, you will find the various peer-reviewed papers presented and discussed at the conference in the present proceedings - arranged thematically according to the conference sessions. But also, something new awaits you in these proceedings - extended abstracts of contributions to an exhibition, which took place this year for the first time in a new and fresh format. Besides classical research posters, virtual reality research applications,short movies, and language learning portfolios could be actively experienced. - Heritage, digital technologies and tourism management- HEDIT-24Viñals Blasco, Mª José; López González, María ConcepciónThe cultural heritage is a defining element of the identity of the societies that host it, and a key driver of the local economy. Therefore, its conservation and proper management are essential to ensure its survival over time and its transmission, in good conditions, to future generations. The Universitat Politècnica de València and the project I+D "Analysis and Development of HBIM Integration into GIS for Creating a Cultural Heritage Tourism Planning Protocol" funded by the Ministry of Science and Innovation, Government of Spain, are organizing the HEDIT·2024 Congress (Valencia, June 20-21, 2024). The congress aims to provide a platform for showcasing research related to the use of digital technologies in the conservation and management of heritage. Topics to be addressed include the urgent need for digital documentation of heritage elements, the use of detection systems for preventive conservation, and the application of new technologies for the management of public and tourist use of heritage sites, among others. Given the multidisciplinary nature of the topics to be addressed, the participation of researchers and professionals from not only the field of architecture but also from other fields and sectors related to the conservation and management of heritage through digital technologies is expected. Scientific papers presented by participants and accepted by the Scientific Committee will be included in the Conference Proceedings, edited by the Universitat Politècnica de València.
La evolucion de los precios alimentarios: propuestas para una cadena agroalimentaria eficiente y justa en la Comunitat ValencianaMoreno Pérez, Olga María; García Álvarez-Coque, José MaríaEn el siglo XXI, los mercados alimentarios enfrentan turbulencias marcadas por el alza de los costes energéticos y tensiones geopolíticas, que afectan los precios de los alimentos. Este trabajo evalúa la evolución de dichos precios y su relación con la energía, con un enfoque en propuestas para mejorar la cadena agroalimentaria de la Comunitat Valenciana. A partir de un diagnóstico basado en datos estadísticos, se desarrollaron talleres multi-actor que identificaron mejoras desde una visión participativa. Las propuestas incluyen superar la atomización del sector, optimizar la logística y la digitalización, fomentar la colaboración público-privada y promover innovaciones tecnológicas y organizativas. Además, se subraya la necesidad de garantizar transparencia en la cadena, educar en hábitos de nutrición responsable, y reconocer la responsabilidad compartida en asegurar el derecho a la alimentación, lo cual implica transformaciones normativas y culturales en la sociedad.- Valoración de activos ambientales. - VII Workshop d'economia valenciana. Els nous reptes de l'economia valencianaMiralles García, José Luis; Ginés Vilar, Miguel; Burriel Calvet, RaülL'economia valenciana, dins d'un context competitiu global, requereix fer front els reptes del moment històric que vivim tot fent valdre els recursos territorials a través del teixit empresarial, institucional i acadèmic. D'aquesta forma, les accions dutes a terme en el present suposaran la creació tant de rendiments econòmics, com del desenvolupament d'un espai sostenible, que seran herència per a futures generacions. Ja l'any passat vàrem focalitzar l'activitat en dos paradigmes destacats. D'una banda, el canvi de "produir, usar i tirar" a "reduir, reutilitzar i reciclar", per tal d'establir les bases per una economia circular: un repte present cap a un entorn més sostenible. D'altra banda, la necessària `agenda digital de les empreses i organismes públics. Això suposa la implantació efectiva d'un procés de digitalització progressiu que integre l'evolució constant de les tecnologies de la informació i permeta a les empreses valencianes cotes d'eficiència i innovació majors. En aquest marc, la Indústria 4.0 tracta de combinar tècniques avançades de producció i operacions amb tecnologies intel·ligents com la robòtica, la intel·ligència artificial, les tecnologies cognitives, la nanotecnologia o la Internet of Things (IoT.). La nova política econòmica europea per la transició ecològica i la digitalització, instrumentalitzada per mitjà del fons Next Generation UE marca una nova etapa en la implementació dels nous paradigmes. Però a més a més, l'inici de la guerra en Ucraïna el passat 24 de febrer de 2022, ha generat de fet un nou marc de les relacions econòmiques internacionals i, paradoxalment, ha posat en evidència de forma dràstica i real els perills i les conseqüències de models econòmics no sostenibles. La dependència Europea de recursos energètics cada dia més escassos i procedents en una part significativa de Rússia així com la dependència daltres productes diversos originaris d'Ucraïna i Rússia ara tancats a l'intercanvi comercial ha quedat en evidència. La globalització econòmica ha passat en molt poc de temps a una economia de blocs. Al mateix temps, el canvi ha deixat en evidència les conseqüències econòmiques en una situació d'escassesa de recursos naturals. La transició cap a la sostenibilitat és cada dia més urgent. Aquesta VII edició del Workshop d'Economia Valenciana es centra en aquesta nova realitat que reclama de manera urgent una reflexió i un marc explicatiu i justificatiu de les línies d'actuació a encetar, aprofundir o consolidar. El document de les Actes que publiquen recull un conjunt d'aportacions sobre aspectes d'economia i sostenibilitat que aborden diferents aspectes dels reptes que el País Valencià necessita abordar en aquest nou marc. És el resultat del treball d'especialistes, acadèmics i investigadors que han participat en el workshop.
